my mom thinks its OK to feed frozen foods when they are still frozen. what are the cons of this?

maybe its just me, but I find frozen food thaws/defrosts really quickly.
To the point that the heated aquarium will quickly melt the ice.

that kinda makes sense, btu when anything remotely food-like touches the water my fishh are on it in seconds. my mom put some in her tank(still frozen),and the fish(angels and gouramis) had eaten it before it had a chance to thaw. IMO,its like eating frozen pizza when its still frozen

if you defrost in a cup of tank water, the water is usually gross that is left. pretty sure its the water that is left that contains most of the phosphates.
but still im too lazy and just hold it in the tank till its almost defrosted then let everything go, my ghost knife will eat the whole cube still frozen if i just chuck it in, dont think thats too good for him lol
