Hey guys, i bought this female fish a few months ago as a swordtail but have been having doubts about it ever since as my male sword would rather chase the other female and never bothers about this one, could she be a molly or is my male sword just picky?

What makes you say that? the way she looks or just that my male sword isn't interested in the least?

It has to do with the fins, swordtails have more squared fins whereas mollies have rounded fins. From what I can see if the tail leads me to believe its a molly.

I could be wrong though.

Looks like a swordtail to me. Google female swordtail and female molly, and you might get a better idea at the differences.

I don't think it would matter too much what it was whether the male would chase it or not, mollies and swords have been known to interbreed.
