Filter for 47G tall reef

Yes im definetly considering turning my old 47G tall tank into a saltwater reef. I know alot of you are probly saying "avoid the tall tanks!, stick with a bigger footprint!", but the thing is i just spent alot of money on a 125G freshwater tank for my African cichlids that were in the 47G tall. It would save me alot of money if i just converted the 47G into a reef instead buying a whole new setup, considering that i already have the tank, the stand and the light. Just picture it being a nano reef with a taller column.

So now thats out of the way, what kind of filter would you recommend for this type of tank. Also other equipment suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
