My male Betta, Hoppus, just got himself stuck to my filter. The filter's a Top Fin 10. Does this mean my filter is too strong for him, and if so, what do you recommend as a weaker filter? Thanks so much.

My DIY solution is to get the big yellow sponge and stuck the filter in the sponge, zip ties to secure it, that's what I've been doing long time

I would add a pre-filter sponge and let him do his thing. I have a betta that loves to plaster himself to my Spec V's overflow so I put some sponge over it and now he can get free without ripping his fins.

It also could mean hoppus is dead happens to me when my fish die. Sorry man
