Fin rot or nipped or?

Honestly don’t remember seeing this guys tail missing when I first got the batch, but on the second day I noticed he’s got nothin!

He’s in with a bunch of other comets awaiting paradise in the pond, which I’ve noticed some others have appeared to been nipped once or twice. Not sure if this guy just got attacked or what?

I’m assuming that’s going to be permanent...

All similarly sized comets and a pair of plecos again about the same size
 
Well nevermind. Came back tonight and he’s a floater, no sign of life :huh:
 
Sorry to hear that it could possibly be fin rot maybe others can help out as well
