I have a planted fw 33 gallon tank with 11 fish & some invertebrates. I have both a Fluval 206 & a AC50 as well as a a Hydor powerhead. My question is where should the return nozzle be in terms of water level? Should it be above the water, at the water or below the water?

The reason i ask is i have it above the water level to add aeration but of course the splashing is quite loud. Could i have it below or at the water level and still have enough o2 for the level of stocking i currently run? Will the AC50 give me enough on its own for this size of tank? I could also point the powerhead at the surface if need be.

Thanks in advance for all of your help?

Place it under pointing upward. You should have enough movemeny with your other equipment
