Fluval fx5 in a 125g

Is it ok to run a fluval fx5 in a 125g? Or is it too much? I'm thinking that if I'm going to buy a new filter, might as well buy a really good one.

I have a FX5 in my 125. Because I am keeping african cichlids I also run a Fluval 404.
