Chaeto: Chaeto (chaetomorpha) is the ideal macroalgae for a refugium to export nitrates and phosphates. Unlike Caulerpa this macro is free-floating and will not attach to anything, nor will it go sexual and release potentially harmful gametes.
Basically... it's a plant-like THING that helps takes bad stuff out of your tank naturally so you won't have to worry about it as much. It usually gets put in a refugium, either sump version or HOB.
