funny white thing

My Friend Has His LR in his tank and i was looking at it this morning and noticed a cool little white wormy thing it was about 1/4 inch long it was flat white and had a thin black line on its back

Sounds like a flatworm. Is this a reef tank or fowlr?

If it's possible to get a picture, that would help. You could try here http://www.seaslugforum.net/specieslist.cfm to see if you can find something close. Warning, there is a TON of species to browse through. Most of these worms are harmless but should be watched. Most have specific diets and once all is consumed, it will die. In a fowlr tank though, I wouldn't be overly concerned.
