german rams should be kept in groups of....?
I am getting conflicting answers from big al's, where i buy my fish. Does anyone out there know? I was told groups of 5 and then I was told only one at a time, weird.
Thank you for your help :)

I would keep them with one pair per twenty gallons.

I've kept hundreds of fish and GBR's have been the most difficult fish for me. We have alot of poor stock around here, so mms sure you find quality fish.

how big is your tank also they like to be in pairs 1 male 1 female

I'm no expert on GBR's, still learning about them, but I was told when I asked on this site that keeping one in my 20 gal was fine.

Actually, you should start out with 5-6 young ones, wait for them to pair off on their own, then swap off the extras and keep the pair. Simply putting a random male and female together isn't likely to work out.
