Giant Danios originate from India and Sri Lanka. They are not agressive fish whatsoever. They are very simple to breed and take care of. I own 4 Danios, and they get along in a tight - knit school.
Danios are a schooling fish, naturally. They require a semi-large tank and not very many aquarium decorations. They need plenty of room to swim in.
Any kind of Danio is a great community fish, and will many get along with any other type of fish that is non agressive or is also a community fish. They are omnivores, which means that they eat both insects, and algae and plant matter. They will eat bloodworms, worms, and brine shrimp. But, if you want to trust your gut, you can just buy regular fish flakes.
Before you buy the flakes, I recommend Yardley and Tetra brands. BE SURE TO BUY TROPICAL FISH FLAKES. Yes, Danios are Tropical fish and live in freshwater. They dont require much care. You should feed them at least twice a day, once in the morning, and once at night.
When they breed, make sure to keep an eye on all the other adult fish in the aquarium! Or, you could take out the adult fish, and place them in another container or aquarium, or just carefully scoop the fry (baby fish.) into another container, preferably a small fish bowl. When they are about 1-2 inches long, you can put them back in with their parents.
Be sure to offer plenty of hiding spots for the fry, if you can't find, can't afford, or just simply don't want to supply a seperate spot for the adults or fry. Fake or real aquarium plants are very ideal hiding spots. When Danios breed, they tend to breed and lay their eggs in the early morning.

Thanks a bunch!
