Hi all,
I just added two Golden Gourami to my community tank yesterday. There is a single male Red Velvet Swordtail in the tank that immediately took interest in one of the Gourami's the second I put them in. The Swordtail is about half the size of the Gourami and will not leave it alone. Before the Gourami, the Swordtail was really shy and a Bleeding Heart Tetra was the somewhat bully of the tank. It's really weird though. I'm not seeing any real aggressive behavior from the Swordtail, he just constantly wants to occupy the same space as that particular Gourami no matter where they are in the tank. It almost looks like he's trying to mate! Lol! Swimming up alongside and just generally getting in the way. Hopefully they will work it out over the next couple of days, I'm just worried the Gourami will stop putting up with it and chew the Swordtail. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with these two?
Thanks.
