I cannot figure out the green stringy things on this coral, if it is it apart of it or can I pull it off carefully?? It was well covered when bought, but it grew and boy did it grow, now the coral is covered and I can barely see my coral. Help???
Picture 1 was months & months ago the second picture is it now, covered in green.
Thanks,
Marie

Hair algae. An indicator to nutrients in the water column. Large water changes with ro/do water along with manual removal.

Thanks for the info and getting back to me so quick. I am definitely changing to RO/DO soon. I just QT'd it so I can trim it.
