Green water

My tank was cleaned a few weeks ago. We got a marineland power filter penguin 350. Which can do 75 gallon tank and mine is 29 gallon. I have two cichlids and a pleco in the tank. I barely feed them since the green water has happened before. I do partial eater changes but the tank is near two windows on a stand. The light doesn't come in and hit the tank. What should I do?

Not sure what your filter is like, but I use poly-fil as a fine filter media in my filters and it works great at catching fine particles. I had tea water from DW and it helped a lot.
