i purchsed 6 guppies and theyre in my 10 gallon. im not selective on the color of the breeding pair, so theyre all mixed matched.. i was wondering if the other guppies will eat the eggs of a breeding pair?

Guppies do not lay eggs. They have live births. If you have male and female guppies together you will soon have 100+ guppies crammed into that tank.

A few of the babies (called fry) may get eaten, but not all. Trust me, I learned that the hard way. I had to return one fish (after she gave birth in my tank), then I wound up having to buy a whole additional tank to house the separate gendered guppies to prevent more offspring.

To answer your "how long" question, even though they don't lay eggs, I believe the gestation period for guppies is ~28 days.
