Help! Anchor Worms!!

I'm new to the site and I just got an oranda to keep my black moor company because I thought maybe that's why he's been really down but I noticed this white thing on him today so I decided to do some research and found out he had it and now I don't know what to do but I did take a risk and removed the worm.

Hi! Welcome to AA!!! Can you please provide some more info so we can better help? Tank size? Paramters for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph? What your using to test (liquid or strips)? Water change schedule (%/#wk)? How long the tank has been running with fish? What country you reside in to med recommendations? Thanks!
