I have a male cory catfish that has injured himself. He has a cut under his right pectoral fin, bulging right eye and the barbels on his right side are worn down and jagged. I assume he hurt himself on a decoration somehow.
I'm concerned because he has been lethargic. He goes after food and moves across the tank every now and then but is much less active than normal.I'm afraid this means he has and infection. Could he just be fatigued by the injury or do I have more to worry about.
I have added melafix to the tank and changes 30% of the water to decrease infection. I also tested the water the water and everything seemed fine. I have no way to quarantine him but I feel like that would be unnecessary anyway because the other fish are not bullying and I don't believe this is something contagious.
