Attempting to identify this darter. I caught it in a portion of MO where the Niangua Darter isn’t supposed to be, but it looks just like one?

It looks like some pics of Etheostoma flabellare aka Fantail Darter
Many pics look very different, but on quite a number of them usually the younger looking fish they do seem to have 2 dots at the end before the tail. And they are found in Canada which could funnel down to Montana.
