I'm in a bind. One of my 2 zebra danios that are left(lost two last week) is having problems swimming and almost seems like he's panting. There doesn't appear to be any signs of anything else wrong(the other Zebra danio and my betta are acting perfectly normal.
The tank has been setup for several months. Water parameters are 74F, 0 NH3, 0 NO2, and 0 NO3. pH is at 8.1(right between 8.0 and 8.2). Filter is an aquaclear 20 on a 10 gallon with live plants.
I'd like to do a QT tank to seperate him just in case, but all I have for a container that I haven't used for ANYTHING else is a tupperware container. I do have an air driven filter housing that I can fill with filter material from the aquaclear for filtration.
Is there anything else I can do? I know danios are a schooling species, but I really don't want to get more if there's a communicable disease that they'll catch to avoid any suffering.
Thanks in advance.
