Hello!

Unfortunately I've had an outbreak of Callamanus in my tanks and am wondering if anyone knows how long they can survive in a tank with no host. I have a tank that has been unoccupied for three weeks now that I took all the plants out of and completely dried out the filter and whatnot and did everything to disinfect besides taking the sand out hoping to save atleast some of the beneficial bacteria. I'm needing to use the tank for a juvi axolotl as soon as possible but don't want to put him in and risk infecting him as well. I've been reading and some say they will die off after a couple weeks and some say a month. Does anyone have any personal experience or insight into when the tank may be deemed "safe"?

Thanks in advance!
