How to cure fin rot?

My betta had fin rot for 3 week since I just started reading about fin rot and look at him his fin is red a lil at the end. And way to cure it? His fin got rip by the female. Woke up in the morning and notice my female I got in with the male and they were both rip up and heal nicely but not some part. I guess the female jump in with him

I personally wouldnt put a betta in with a female, or any other fish. I doubt its fjn rot, if they were fighting it probably just a spot that got scales ripped off and is healing. It could get infected and start fin rot though, try an antibacterial fish medication. Fin rot is not always red, red is just exposed flesh and blood. Fin rot will often be brown from fungus.
