how to start my 40 gallon cycle

I have 2 ten gallon tanks running for about 2 months. I want to set up my new 40 gallon bbreadder tank. Do i have to start all the cycle or can i use the media filter from my other tanks for the good bacteria!

Ok thanks now how do i do that. just place the whole small filter on the new tank run it for a few hours days. Just the media, with fish in it ?

I believe you take some media from the established filter, and put it in the tank you want to cycle. The good bacteria on that should jump start your cycle. I think. I am 99.9% percent sure this is the correct method, so in other words, I'm pretty sure.
