So I thought my HC was taking hold once I donated my 24 Ember Tetras that were nibbling and up rooting the HC. I come home from work and see half of it floating. I found another culprit and my HC demise. Trumpet snails! I forgot I had these in my tank to help aerate my substrate. They're just randomly popping up and up rooting. I'm gonna scream!!!

I understand your pain. I planted Staurogynes repens a few months ago (they were quite tiny) and the MTS would uproot them. Then I got smart and used toothpicks to help keep them anchored. Worked for the most part, however, occasionally I would see toothpicks that were buried 1.5" deep laying flat on the substrate the next morning.
