Does anyone have any favorites, or one that really hit well with them?

So far I have

Aquariums for dummies (read)
A simple guide to marine aquariums (in progress)
Saltwater Aquariums for Dummies (next in line)

I want to start a reef tank within the year if that helps the suggestions

IMO I have Learned more from this Forum than i have in any of the books ive read. I prefer talking to someone that knows the trade just works out better for me.

As for your book list i have one book that you do not have listed. Its "The saltwater aquarium handbook" by Barron's (isbn = 0-7641-1241-4) Its a smaller book but it has some good info.

HTH

:)

The Fenner book and if your looking about keeping corals the Borneman book Aquarium Corals are must haves IMO.

Kudos to you for doing your homework in advance of buying anything. A lot of folks would benefit from your example.

One thing about the Fenner book, its older and it deals with cycling the tank with fish. Ignore that part and see the "new school" article at this site on "Fishless Cycling".

Good luck!
