Got this orange starfish from my lfs just wondering if this guy is reef safe and what kind of starfish is this? Thank

To my knowledge, only serpeant starfish are reef safe. And that isn't one of them.

It's an orange fromia starfish,usually considered reef safe but generally don't last too long,they have specialized dietary needs that some tanks don't provide and they can take months to starve to death,but oddly,lol,they thrive in other tanks.I always liked the fromias personally and have a friend thats had a cool looking yellow one for some time.

Im glad that this is reef safe, coz im about to pull it out from my tank.... I have 30 gallon tank and running almost a year now...
