Looks like a flower pot coral about to hit the dust to me.

I'm not positive but i think your right but if so this is a potentially difficult coral to keep for many for no apparent reason so keep an eye on it

Had my eye on it at lfs in there display tank. Wasn't doing well and convinced them to sell it to me. Looks a lot better than it did a few days ago

Thanks for the reply. This thing is awesome when healthy and I'm trying to research it in order to take proper care.
