Trying to figure out what is on the side of my clam. It's a white hard shelled creature and it puts out some kind of mucus net to catch food

Looks like yet another vermetid snail. A rather large one in fact, unless that is a small clam.
 
As long as the mucus web is not bothering the clam there is nothing wrong with keeping it.
 
Cool I will just keep my eyes on it then to make sure it isn't bothering the clam. Thanks
 
Ok so what is the best way to get rid of vermitid snail? Tried to use super glue gel but a week later came back
 
as long as you don't mess with the flesh of the clam and just scrape it off the shell the clam will be fine
