Hi, I've been trying to find out what's up so I can correctly medicate, but haven't been able to come to a conclusion. Hoping someone here with a bit of experience can help!
Its not eating, looks exhausted, spending a lot of time at the top gasping for air. The bottom half of it's tail fin seems like its not working half the time, I think the red strip has something to do with that.
Sometimes it looks like its having a coughing fit.
I think the initial cause was from bad water quality as the tank hadn't been getting proper maintenance.
Ive cleaned the tank up a bit and have done water changes , but that hasn't changed anything.
There's 4 other fish in the tank, but they seem to be okay.
No ammonia or nitrites in the tank, but the nitrates are too high even after regular large water changes.
Tank is around 140l, theres plenty of space in there so I don't think it's overstocked at the moment.
