Is my oto pregnant or just fat? Please excuse the dot algae.

i would guess horribly bloated

im not sure what would cause it,but boiled and shelled peas can cure it,if they dont eat them epsom salt works.

I personally don't see cause for concern. 3 of my 7 Otos are fatter than that (normal for females I believe) and have been for months. They're all happy, healthy and active. Unless you see changes in behavior, I wouldn't worry.

the increase in girth may mean that she is holding eggs and is ready to spawn.

yep it's not that unusual for the females to get that poochy, I wouldn't worry too much at this point.
