I got home from work this morning and noticed one of my new Danios tummy was much bigger than I remember it being last night. Not scary big, but bigger for sure.

She is mostly hanging down near the bottom of the tank in a fake grass bed I have. She is chasing others away from that spot.

She doesn't appear pine coned.

I am thinking she is full of eggs but am new to this so I am not sure. I am worried she is sick.

Water chem is all normal (0 amm, 10 nitrate ish, no nitrite, hard water).

Any input is appreciated. Thanks. Pictures attached

I can't say for sure but usually, the eggs would be further back. Here's a link to pic of a gravid female. if yours is similar, I wouldn't worry. http://dlgdxii3fgupk.cloudfront.net/myaquariumclub.com/images/fbfiles/images/femaledanio_1.jpg

Since Danios are just as bad at eating their own eggs as other fish are, I wouldn't put too much meaning into her chasing away other fish. That might be a sign that she is in distress and wants to be left alone to feel sick. :(
