Is this a scallop?

I found this when I was cleaning my 40b reef tank. Is it a scallop? If not, any other ideas on it?

Looks like one to me. They are kind of hard to keep in the home aquaria. You usually have to keep large amounts of plankton in the tank and that is a recipe for nuisance algae.

Thank you for the reply and Merry Christmas. The piece of rock it's on has been in my tank for about five months, so I suppose it's doing okay. That would explain the algae problem I've had in the tank, although it's almost under control. Not really sure what I'm doing, but corals are growing like weeds. Apparently scallops too... Lol
