Maybe this is a dumb question but I'm curious if anyone can tell me what my hammer head is doing? I just target fed him some microvert that I bought from Petco. What's this reaction and is it normal?

Did you squirt it directly into the coral. It looks like the hammer released its protective mucus.

Rick I did. Did I hurt him?

It is just a protective reaction,it should be fine. When spot feeding try gently blowing the food close to the coral were it will float over the coral instead of blowing directly into the coral.
