I noticed this on my chocolate cichlid a few days ago and just thought it was his coloring. Now it looks like some scales are lose and there may be white puffy things.

What is this? Should I isolate? All water parameters are perfect 0/0/10

Looks like he has costia?
Try a med from walmart called "parasite clear"
It contains a anti-parasite and also a anti-fungal.
Read up here, fungus does not attack healthy tissue, its always secondary.

Improve water quality as well.

I just looked that up and I think you are right. It looks more like Costia than a fungus

Do you think the Melafix will take care of it? I don't have any Walmart near me, but I can try a local fish store. Treat the whole tank?

Ya i would just drop some tablets in there remove any charocol from filter pad first
Melafix might help, so would fresh water and heat tho.
