Ok everyone i have a 75gallon tank and my uncle was closing down his tank and giving up the hobby for a couple of years. He had a lipstick/naso tang that was 3-5 inches long and that was it in his tank. He was going to take him to this pet store in my area but i know the place is not a good place. I offered to take him so he would not be subjected to that place. I know they get big and i was wondering how long it will take him to out grow my 75 gallon tank.

PS I am upgrading to a 120gallon when i get my new house in about a year. Will he be good until then.

I'm not sure how fast they grow but the fish wont be very happy in a 75g regardless of how big it is now. That fish really needs a 5'-8' tank. They like to swim a lot and they get rather large.

I would suggest upgrading to a 180 or 210.

I understand you not wanting to see the fish to a questionable store, maybe you could find a local reefer that has a tank to suit the fish.
