Lapacho bark in discus tank?

I read in a forum (not this one) about someone recommending lapacho bark in discus tanks for a black water feel that has an added health benefit to the fish. I can't really find much else online about this and wondered if anyone on here had any experience with it. Thanks! I didn't want to make a 120 gallon batch of tea that my fully stocked discus tank sat in without doing some research on what it might actually do to the fish. Thanks for any ideas.
