Hi,

Can anyone tell me what coral restrictions I will have with my new 12 gallon JBJ LED nano cube? (size and light)

The tank is currently cycling with LR, and i will make sure it is fully cycled before i start slowly stocking the tank.

I was also wondering if people think it would be a good idea to get one of the PODs in a bottle and put them into the tank before adding fish and coral to establish the tank further?

I plan to stock with a skunk cleaner, nerite snails and an occelaris clown pair (maybe).

JBJ Nano Cube LED Aquarium

Thanks

Your coral options are pretty wide open with JBJ's LED lid. You can do everything up to SPS, but in a tank that small, pristine water conditions are going to be difficult to maintain for the higher demand SPS.

I wouldn't worry about adding pods.... they'll likely make it in there naturally with the addition of coral.

As far as the fish.... sorry to disappoint, but clowns do not belong in a tank that small. General rule of thumb for the smallest clowns is 20 gallons for the first one, then ten more gallons for the second (min 30 gal for a pair). You can get a general idea of your fish selection in Live Aquaria's nano-section, but you are very limited with what will be happy in a tank that small.

from the PAR reading, SPS can be keep at 6" deep. I wouldn't put it anywhere lower than that. You can have soft coral at the bottom.
