Hi everyone! Well I wanted to upgrade the lighting in my Aquapod 24. It is not set up yet because I could decide what I want in it. I'm a guppy in the salt water world and wanted to keep the hood on the tank. That being said I figured I wanted to keep the stock lighting but add one of these Panorama Pro LED Module in with it. Would this providethe lighting needs of a Long tentacled anemone? And maybe some coral as well? Nothing too fancy on the coral, just wanted some variety in the tank too. Thanks in advance! :D

For a 24...it would depend on what the stock lighting was. I am leaning close to the no side in terms of any anemone. They require lots of light. That unit just doesn't put out what would be needed for a nem.

Regardless which type led u getting, u will need to mod the hood if u want to keep it. Otherwise the life span of the led will drop like a rock cuz lack of ventilation and over heat . As far as the one you are looking at, you will at least need 2 of them. I saw those units in action myself in one of my lfs, but wasn't impress. However, LTA is one of the most hardy anemone, so you should be ok with 2 of them. You also welcome to check out the zetlight nano touch I carry , I know someone mod it into their bio cube hood, so I know it is doable

Here is some info of the Nano touch light

And here is some pictures of some of my client's tank shot and shows how he mod it into his BioCube14 Hood

I think you would need two of them, but I can't really say what other things needed to mod it, as I never mod it myself into the biocube or JBJ nano cube. I rather use the stand and get rid of the hood cuz I don't like it myself. The only thing I would suggest is that if you did mod the hood. You will need to open the top of the hood for better ventilation.

Read up on kessil and aquaillumunation nano and vega... Very popular lights for reef tanks at the moment.
