Those units will let you keep any type of photosynthetic coral that you want under 2 ft length of tank.

So that would be soft coral, SPS and LPS right? But not NPS. I'm not sure of what the differences are in them all in terms of requirements. Correct me if I am wrong.

Soft coral - easy, photosynthetic
SPS - small polyp stony, these are hard coral? photosythetic?
LPS - large polyp stony, same as above but larger polyp?
NPS - none photosynthetic stony? - hard coral that needs to be target fed?

Pretty spot on. In general, lighting requirements goes from soft to LPS to SPS...generally. When it comes to non photosynthetic, they don't have to be hard coral. It is any coral that doesn't get its energy requirements from your light source. They need to be target fed, and usually quite often. They can be the hardest to keep alive due to this as the constant feeding fouls up the water column easily and can kill off corals.
