No corals? Your choice. Standard 'saltwater lighting' is usually a mix of actinic blue and white (usually a white in the 10,000-14,000K range). For a tank without corals it is really up to you, but I still prefer the same.
 
That is how I would do it. Two bulb HO T5 fixtures are great to start with. As you and your tank grow and advance and eventually you may need more light for more demanding corals a slender two bulb fixture leaves room to add a second one when the time comes.
