Will a 36" t5's fixture will be enough for a 48" tank to grow corals

Depends on how many bulbs and wattage of the bulbs. I believe you may be okay for some lower light stuff. Not really sure though.

The height of your tank will also depend on the answer. The taller the tank, the less light reaching the bottom if you place corals at the bottom.

The fixture I'm looking at has 4 bulbs and the tank is a. 55 2' deep
