I searched this topic but could only find threads that were a year or so old.

I have lucky bamboo that someone gave as a gift but I'm unsure whether it's safe or not. Some sites say it;s fantastic as removing ammonia and nitrates, other sites say it's not an aquatic plant and should not be used in an aquarium. I would like to try it, with the leaves out of the water but I don't want to hurt my betta by doing so. Has anybody tried LUCKY BAMBOO in their aquarium?

Keep some of it immersed and I believe it should be ok, although I've never had any experience with it personally.

So I just ran into it as well... Not knowing it isn't really aquatic. Opinion seems to be keep an eye on it, any questionable signs pull it out.

Granted I planted like 9 of the things... Gah.
