Making a slate cave

Today I arranged some of my slate pieces into a cave for my 55 gallon tank. I haven't glued the pieces together yet so nothing is final yet. What are your opinions

Looks good, very big though. I always end up making my caves bigger than what's required, usually have to pull it out and reduce in size. What fish is it for?

I have 2 Plecos, 2 striped Raphael catfish and a pictus as my bottom feeders.

I think it's cool lookin. Has its own uniqueness. I'd put it in my african tank if i had it! Good job, the timely parts gluing it tho

I'm going to make a slate cave BGK tube combo soon. My only problem is finding the actual slate. Where did you get yours?

You probably need the bigger size then compared to my cichlids.

Looks great! I'm a bit wary with slate because it can be a bit sharp and sometimes some injury can occur. A bit of sand paper can help to smooth them out
