I have a 70L tank with some ADFs. Soon I'm going to get a male betta and I was wondering what type of shrimp would be okay in my tank? Any other algae eaters that would be suitable in my tank? Thanks!
Bettas are hit or miss with shrimp. Most of them will eat shrimp, I would say. Maybe some larger ghost shrimp would be okay because of their size. A good algae cleaner for bettas are nerite snails.
Providing ample hiding spaces RCS can live with most bettas. Introduce them to the tank slowly and when acclimating be sure to add water from the shrimp bag a few times over the course of an hour so the smell permeates the water. Otherwise he can look at the new smell as you feeding him.
