Medium peacocks with small tangs

When stocking my mixed community, would it be alright to add 3" male peacocks alongside all the 1-1.5" tangs (comp, pearly ocel, julies, goby, petricolas)? I'm planning to have a total of 5 different male peacocks in this otherwise tanganyika community, but don't want to buy 2 or 3 of each at 1.5" in order to find the males and sell off the females once they've grown big enough. Is the latter my only option?
