I remembered that I had a blue cold cathode light laying around from my old computer...so I put it to good use as a moon light for my new 29 gallon set up.

It was a little bright at first, so I taped a piece of cardboard under it and wrapped some tissue (gift) wrap around it to diffuse and dim the light.

I've been using a cold cathode from my old pc for moonlights for a few years. I had a variable output ac adapter I hooked it up to and it lets me make it brighter or dimmer. Works nice.
