Moss ball question

I have a moss ball but has like uneeded/come apart and is no linger a ball. How can I reball it or what can I do with it

That happened to mine, but I know my goldies tore it to shreds lol. I used some garden netting and zip ties to reball it and it seems to be growing out and hair net would work too.

I guess the bigger question is why it came apart? I've never seen it happen, but I'll be interested if someone can answer that question.

you can roll it back up with your hands. I break mine apart after a few months and then roll them into new ones. They can unravel in time because they are likely hand rolled to begin with. Naturally they have that ball shape from being rocked back and forth on the bottom of their natural environment, but these things have probably not seen their natural home in a long long time.

So if I take it out of the tank, wrap it in a hairnet I should be good to go ?

why not just roll it up by hand? it should stay together. I roll mine like I'm making meatballs for spaghetti
