My Gourami is constantly hiding help

Hi I am very new to fish keeping and am in need of you guys. I have a 29 gallon tank, just gravel vacuumed a week ago, 2 blue gourami and 7 tiger barbs. I know that barbs can be aggressive but they are really nice and never bite my gourami. But I have been seeing one of my gourami nipping and at first I thought that they were just figuring out there territory but the last few days one of the gourami have been hiding in the same place and only comes out for food. Then the bigger gourami nips it and goes back to it hiding place. It is has not lost color or has any marks on it from the fish but I am concerned. Thanks for the time and help.
