William, I'm curious. I see one of the tanks (I'm guessing the new one?) has two female bettas in it. I was thinking of setting up a 20 gallon long, heavily planted and decorated, with four female bettas in it. The reason I settled on that size and the number of bettas was because I've read in quite a few places that it's best to get more than three females to share tank due to the female possessiveness of territory, and more than three doesn't let any one fish get picked on too much. The reason for dense cover is to provide territory and hiding places for all of them. Have you heard anything like that? And how are these two getting along?

That is a gorgeous female in the pic. Are you able to get female bettas locally? There's only one place around me that gets them, and it's PetsMart. I asked at two of my LFS recently, and they said they have to buy females in lots of 100, and the FW market around here just doesn't support that.

I found my girls in the most horrid place imaginable, Wal-Mart.

And, for the time, they seem quite content with eachother, Swimming side by side as if they were shoaling almost! 8O

The only problems they have is with their own reflections in the glass, Then they flare up and attack the glass
