Can I remove my turtle's filter from the tank's filter?

so you have 2 filters on the tank and want to remove one? if thats the case yea just keep a eye on the tank. if you are asking about removing the media from te filter to put back in the other filter i would do it slowly a little at a time if you can plus keep a eye on the readings.

Yeah its just the media, a sponge front the filter of my turtle tsank. I was thniking of removing it wednesday to give more time for the bacteria to build up

once the tank is cycled and stable wait 2 weeks from that time and remove it. you will be taking away bacteria so keep a eye on it though.

Lol I just bought a new sponge for the turtle filter. That sponge is staying in my tank. grrrr!
