I did a search and a really old thread came up that wasn't super conclusive.

Can mystery snails handle low salinity water? I'm planning to order the fish for my new tank online and they recommend adding a little aquarium salt to the water off the tank they'll be going into.

I have no problems removing the snails, they can go back in my other tank, but if I don't need to... I just don't want to kill them trying to make my fish more comfortable upon arrival.

Salt dehydrates snails, even aquarium snails. I'm not sure how much salt you are planning on adding but I don't think freshwater snails can handle brackish water.

Very little. The supplier the fish are coming from recommends 0.15% - 0.2%.

I'll probably remove them just to be sure.
